I guess it is a reoccuring theme for me to like mixing dark with light, opposite themes and colors, or yin and yang ideas. I had painted an idea of a sun during sunset and a moon on a cloudy night as the yin and yang symbol, and I liked it so much that I had decided to digitally do the same concept for my phone screen. I really liked the idea of the moon by a tree with a river, and the sun with some mountains and clouds in the sky. The original color scheme looked wonky and didn't feel cohesive, so I changed the hue of the image until I landed on something I liked more, which is why it is shades of pink and purple.
